It‘s very exciting times in the world of wet shaving.
On Sunday, we announced that King of Shaves (that great British shaving brand that happens to be a client of ours) will be teaming up with electrical giant Remington to distribute King of Shaves throughout the US and Canada. For a British brand like King of Shaves, this means big business. You can read all about it in the Mail on Sunday here and Cosmetic News here .
Not only will this explode distribution in the States, a notoriously hard market to crack, but the deal will also see Remington partner with KoS to launch the King of Shaves Remington Azor System Razor in the States this coming Spring.
Now, if you know anything about wet shaving (and shame on you if you don’t) you’ll know that King of Shaves launched an innovation in shaving ‘hardware’ last year called the Azor. It’s continuing mission? To provide a perfect shave at a fraction of the cost of your traditional overpriced system razor (no unnecessary plug for competitors here but I think you all know who the seven bladed culprits are).
And so, for the first time ever, by partnering with King of Shaves, Remington will be entering the wet shaving market in the States, allowing them to compete directly with Gillette (owned by Procter and Gamble) and using a very cool British designed product too! That’s why I think its exiting.
Let the Razor Wars begin….
