Capital FM App Hits One Million Downloads

It’s only just over a month since Capital FM went national across the UK but the station, which broadcasts to a weekly audience of 6.5 million people a week, is already breaking records.

This week saw the Capital FM iPhone music application hit the one million download mark, making it the most popular free music app in the UK*.

The milestone follows a huge increase in the number of downloads since the Capital Network launched on January 3rd, with 300,000 downloading the app in the first month of 2011 alone.
