Jennifer Lopez fought off strong competition from Adele and the Black Eyed Peas on the Vodafone Freebies Big Top 40 Chart yesterday to claim the number one spot with her comeback single ‘On The Floor’.
The song is the first release from the singer, actress, dancer and television personality affectionately known as JLO or ‘Jenny from the Block’ for four years and is taken from her forthcoming seventh album ‘Love’ due for release later this year.
Elsewhere in the chart, last week’s number 1 from The Wanted slipped to number nine, the Black Eyed Peas entered the chart at number 3 with ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ whilst ‘Black and Yellow’ form Wiz Khalifa was at number 5. Adele remained at number 2 with ‘Someone Like You’.
The Big Top 40 is the UK’s biggest national chart reaching over 2.2million listeners each week. The chart is broadcast across the country, to stations within the Heart and Capital networks, Bauer’s Big City Network, GMG’s Real and on digital radio.
