National Movie Awards 2010

The MacLaurin Media team hit the red carpet in fine form last night to welcome a wealth of Hollywood movie stars including Tom Cruise, Gwyneth Paltrow and Orlando Bloom to London for the National Movie Awards.
Dressed to impress in tuxedos and glittering evening gowns, the team were on hand throughout the evening to escort the stars down the carpet as they arrived at the Royal Festival Hall on London’s South Bank.
Joshua Jackson, Diane Kruger, and Chris Rock, were among the other attendees who greeted fans and posed for the cameras at the glittering showbiz event. Sex and the City’s Chris Noth and Kick Ass star Aaron Johnson also graced the red carpet along with comic actor Simon Pegg.
The Twilight series was the biggest winner of the night picking up three awards. New Moon received the Fantasy movie prize, while Eclipse was named the most Anticipated Movie of the Summer while Robert Pattinson was awarded the Performance of the Year trophy.
The Harry Potter cast, who raced to the ceremony straight from filming the final instalment in the franchise, took home two prizes. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince received the award for Family movie while the entire team were recognised in the Special Recognition category.
The most exciting moment of the night though was undoubtedly the arrival of superstar Tom Cruise, who flew in especially for the night, with wife Katie Holmes to collect the Screen Icon award.
The triple Golden Globe winning star famous for his roles in Rain Main, Jerry Maguire and the Mission Impossible series said: “It’s a real honour for me to be here. This great city of London. This great country England. I’ve made several films here. I have been fortunate…I guess as a film maker the most important thing to me is you. If I have entertained you at all, I thank you. Thank you for allowing me to do so.”
