The Jingle Bell Ball Is Back

95.8 Capital FM announced the return of the Jingle Bell Ball on Wednesday morning.  Johnny Vaughan and Lisa Snowdon unveiled the return of the much anticipated hit music event, live on their breakfast show – much to the delight of listeners!

The two day event will take place on the 4th and 5th December at London’s O2 Arena.  Acts will be unveiled next week starting on Monday (25th October) at 7am… that’s one way to get London out of bed on a Monday!  Further artists will then be announced throughout the day finishing with Rich and Kat announcing the final artist for day one of the Ball at 7pm.  At the moment, it’s probably the best kept secret in London… and the word over at Capital is that it’s the biggest and best event yet, with the most start studded line up to ever perform at one of Capital’s events.

Previous events have seen some of the world’s biggest hit music stars perform.  My personal highlights have been Rihanna (2009 Summertime Ball), Shakira and the Backstreet Boys (at last year’s Jingle Bell Ball). 

In the build up to the Jingle Bell Ball we’ll be busy preparing for the event and drumming up interest with the media.  On the day, we host the media centre which is where talent come before or after they have performed for interviews.  The atmosphere is always really buzzing and at last year’s event we saw the likes of Dizzee Rascal, JLS, Alexandra Burke, Shakira, Miley Cyrus plus loads more talking to the media. It’s a great way to get some ‘insider’ juicy gossip!

I for one will be setting my alarm extra early on Monday, so I can get up and hear the line up for day one of the Ball revealed!
