Wingman’s new wingman

It’s been a hell of a few months for Stu Jolley. Little did the 24-year old Exmouth entrepreneur dream when he left university that three years later he would be the star of Britain’s Next Big Thing - the hit BBC show - with his Wingman deodorising wipes sold in the biggest chain of chemists in Britain. So far so good. But getting your product sold on the high street doesn’t always automatically guarantee success. It is the news this weekend that Will King’s King of Shaves has taken 24% equity in Wingman which is perhaps the most exciting news for Jolley. With this deal, Jolley can build on the Wingman brand and move forward with the confidence that, in Will King, he has one of the UK’s most experienced entrepreneurs behind him, with, crucially, expertise in this area. Stu Jolley has dreamt about making Wingman a competitor to the big boys such a Lynx, by offering a whole range of grooming products. It’s going to be a rollercoaster ride, but with this partnership, he is now surely a step closer to achieving this aim.
